DG BSF visits LoC in Bandipora, reviews preparedness of force

SRINAGAR, Nov 8: The Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), Nitin Agrawal, today visited the forward areas of Bandipora district to review the preparedness of the force.
DG Agrawal was given detailed briefings by the field commanders on the security situation, counter-infiltration measures, and ongoing anti-militancy operations during his visit.
The evolving security challenges and threats emanating from across the border were also discussed. An official said that the DG interacted with the troops and appreciated their dedication to their duties in the challenging terrain and extreme weather conditions.
The BSF DG expressed his satisfaction with the preparedness and the vigilance of the troops deployed along the LoC.
The official said that he praised their professionalism and valour, emphasizing the critical role they play in safeguarding the nation’s security.
“He assured them of the unwavering support and commitment to providing the necessary resources for their operational effectiveness”, the official added.
The official said that the purpose of his visit was to assess and review the operational preparedness of BSF units deployed along the Line of Control (LoC) in the region.
Accompanied by senior officers from the BSF, the official said that the DG embarked on an inspection of the strategic deployments along the LoC.
