DG CRPF reviews situation

JAMMU, Mar 8: DG CRPF, K Durga Prasad on his first visit to Jammu after taking over as head of the para-military force today reviewed anti-militancy and law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir with top officers of the force and Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajendra.
Prasad met Governor N N Vohra and briefed him on all aspects of security situation in Jammu and Kashmir including CRPF’s deployment and operational plans in the wake of recent terror attacks in the Kashmir Valley.
After extensive discussions with Prasad, the Governor decided to hold a meeting next week in which the heads of all Intelligence agencies and security forces would participate to take collective decisions.
During his visit to Raj Bhawan, the DG CRPF, who had taken over the charge on February 29, also met the CRPF jawans posted there and rewarded them for their dedication.
Prasad met DGP K Rajendra and reviewed with him security situation in the State.
He also had detailed inter-action with CRPF officers on anti-militancy operations and preparations for annual Amarnath ji pilgrimage.
The CRPF officers, who attended the meeting, included S K Bhagat, Special DG CRPF, J&K Zone, Nalin Prabhat, IG CRPF Kashmir, P K Choudhary, IG CRPF, J&K Zone and Kuldeep Dhar, IG CRPF Jammu.
