JAMMU, Nov 22: Director General Rural Development Department Jammu, Rehana Batul today visited block Bhalwal to personally take stock of the implementation of PMAY(G) scheme. She also inspected the houses constructed/being constructed under the scheme.
While reviewing the PMAY(G) scheme, it was given out that 53 houses have been completed against the target of 91 houses for the financial year 2016-17 & 2017-18.
The Director General RDD issued on the spot instructions to the Block Development Officer and field functionaries to bridge the gap and complete all the houses as per the target of 2016-17 & 2017-18 by ending December 2018.
She also inspected some of the under construction and completed houses in Panchayat Bhalwal Upper A, Chowa and Ghaink.
Batul issued strict instructions to the field functionaries to complete the houses within the specified time as per the guidelines of the scheme. She said recovery proceedings should be initiated against the beneficiaries who are not interested in completing their houses in the prescribed time.
