DGFT organizes export awareness program

JAMMU, Dec 23: An awareness and training program was organised by Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) officials of Union Ministry of Commerce for the members of the industry at Bari Brahmana at BBIA Bhawan today.
This training programme was organised under `Niryat Bandhu Scheme’ with the support of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) today. BBIA president Annil Suri was the chief guest.
While speaking on the occasion, Amit Kumar, Dy Director DGFT highlighted the various benefits being provided to industrial sector by the Ministry of Commerce under the said scheme and requested the members present to avail the benefit of the scheme by increasing their export to different countries. A power point presentation was given by the department indicating various schemes and benefits available to industrial units in the field of import and export.
Mr Suri in his presidential remarks appreciated the steps taken by Director General of Foreign Trade by organizing first such event for the industrial fraternity of Jammu. He said such initiative would help Jammu industrialists/ traders to expand their business by importing the raw material and exporting the finished goods.
Sujiv Jain from M/s Karamhans Foods Pvt Ltd, Lalit Mahajan and Rakesh Bhat from BBIA also spoke on the occasion and expressed their views.
