DGP directs DIG to take action

JAMMU, June 12: Taking serious note of police officials beating up parking contractor and his employee in custody of Pacca Danga police station, Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajendra today directed DIG Jammu-Kathua range JP Singh to take action against the police officials.
“I have asked the DIG Jammu not to spare anyone. There is no question of tolerating excesses by the police officials against the civilians, who were instrumental in bringing peace and normalcy to the region. We will not tolerate any such act by the police officials’’, Mr Rajendra said after his first high level review of security scenario in Jammu region.
The DGP assured the civilians that law of land would prevail at any cost and no wrongdoing by the police officials would be tolerated at any cost.
The parking contractor and his employee have charged SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Bharat Sharma and two Sub Inspector Sunit Sharma and Sushil Choudhary with beating up them in police custody at the behest of Vigilance Inspector Daleep Singh.
