DGP enquires about health of DySP injured in militants attack

SRINAGAR, Jan 20: Dire-ctor General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar, today visited Army Hospital Badamibagh and enquired about the welfare of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Irshad Ahmed Rather.
Irshad was injured while performing his professional duties at Bijbehara Anantnag on December 24, 2015. He enquired about his health status and discussed with the doctors about his improvement.
The Sub-Divisional Police Officer received bullet injuries when he was supervising the police bandbust for Eid-e-Milad procession at Bijbehara and was fired upon by some militants.
Mr. Rajendra, while visiting the injured officer, talked to the team of doctors and asked to provide every specialized medical treatment for his early recovery. Doctors informed the DGP that Irshad was recovering and responding to the treatment well.
The DGP was accompanied by IGP, Kashmir SJM Gillani, DIG, CKR, G. H. Bhat and SSP Srinagar, Amit Kumar.
