DGP grants reward for wards of police personnel

JAMMU, Sept 20: Recognizing the academic achievements of police wards, Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbag Singh sanctioned special reward of Rs one lakh in favour of wards of serving police personnel who have qualified different competitive examinations.
The reward money was give out of Central Police Welfare Fund. “Rs 10,000 each have been granted vide PHQ order No 3550 of 2019 in favour of 10 police wards who have qualified different competitive examination during the year 2019.
Mahwash Nawaz, Sonika Rani, Rifat Basheer, Sachin Sharma, Sumant Sharma, Mehvish Yousuf and Insha Ayoub were awarded with special reward and commendation certificates for qualifying BOPEE and NEET of 2019 while Suhaib Nazir (M Tech), Gurpreet Singh (BTech) and Saatvik Sharma (B Tech) were awarded special reward and commendation certificates for qualifying Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and BOPEE of 2019.
To boost the morale of aspiring wards of martyrs, serving and retired police personnel, Police headquarters under different heads is annually sanctioning meritorious scholarship and rewards for police wards qualifying different examinations so as to promote competitiveness among them.
