JAMMU, Dec 30: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh today inaugurated jawans’ barrack with additional facility of toilet block adjacent to Police Headquarters here.
ADGP (Coordination) SJM Geelani, ADGP (Headquarters) AG Mir, retired ADGP Ram Lubhaiya, IGP Crime, MK Sinha, AIG Building Rayees Mohammad Bhat were present on the occasion. After inaugurating the facility, the DGP inspected the different rooms of the building.
Meanwhile, continuing with Police Headquarters’ endeavour of providing promotions to police officers and personnel on time, the DGP Dilbag Singh today ordered promotion of 169 Non Gazetted Officers (NGOs).
The Departmental Promotion Committee comprising of SJM Gillani ADG (Coordination), Rajeshwar Singh AIG (Personnel), Javaid Iqbal (CPO) PHQ and Naeem Wani DySP (Personnel), met under the chairmanship of DGP and promoted these 169 Non-Gazetted officers. Among the promotes, 2 Sub Inspectors have been promoted to the rank of Inspectors and 165 Assistant Sub Inspectors have been promoted to the rank of Sub Inspectors. 2 Inspectors were also given In-Situ promotions.
DGP Dilbag Singh in his message felicitated the promoted officers and their families and expressed hope that they will strive to work with greater zeal and professionalism for public welfare and the peace and order.
