JAMMU, Mar 6: Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajendra today overhauled Traffic Police administration in the State including Jammu-Srinagar National Highway to make it more accountable and transparent by infusing young blood in it.
Several DySPs posted in Traffic Police including Jammu and Kashmir divisions and National Highway have been shifted and new faces with proven integrity posted in their place.
“This has been done by Rajendra to make Traffic Police more accountable and transparent in the State by giving it a new image,’’ official sources said and added that the DGP has directed the new officials to deliver and deliver good by coming up to expectations of the people.
The DGP today ordered reshuffle of a total of 22 DySPs, majority in the Traffic Police.
Khalid Amin, DySP DAR Poonch has been transferred and posted as DySP Traffic Banihal vice Mohammad Rafi. Bharat Bhushan Sharma, DySP lR-17th Bn was transferred and posted as SDPO Nagrota vice Khaliq Hussain. Noor-ul-Hassan DySP IR-3rd Bn was transferred and posted as DySP Traffic Kulgam vice Altaf Hussain.
Mohammad Rafi Giri, DySP Traffic Banihal was transferred and posted as DySP DAR Poonch vice Khalid Amin. Kameshwar Puri, SDPO Uri has been transferred and posted as DySP Traffic Ramban vice Zahid Saif Wani. Syed Yasir Qadri, DySP IR-6th Bn has been transferred and posted as DySP Traffic Pulwama/Shopian vice Aijaz Ahmad.
Tilak Raj, DySP AHJ Jammu was transferred and posted as DySP Traffic Udhampur vice Ram Singh. Rasheq Ahmad, DySP Hqrs Ganderbal was transferred and posted as DySP Traffic Baramulla/Kupwara vice Suhail Reshi. Shahid Parvez, DySP Traffic City Jammu is transferred and posted as DySP IR-17th Bn vice Bharat Bhushan.
Kulbir Handa former SDPO City and presently DySP DAR Doda is transferred and posted as SDPO Bari Brahmana against available post. Ghulam Hyder, DySP Traffic Budgam is transferred and posted as DySP PCR Srinagar against available post. Parshotam Kumar Mengi, DySP GRP was transferred and posted as DySP Traffic City Jammu vice Shahid Parvez.
Ram Singh, DySP Traffic Udhampur was transferred and posted as DySP IR-4th Bn against available post. Altaf Hussain, DySP Traffic Kulgam has been transferred and posted as DySP IR-3rd Bn vice Noor-ul-Hassan. Fayaz Ahmad, SDPO Pattan was transferred and posted as DySP Traffic Anantnag vice Mukhtyar Ahmad.
Khaliq Hussain, SDPO Nagrota has been transferred and posted as DySP Traffic City South Jammu vice SM Gouri Shankar. Gouri Shankar DySP Traffic Jammu was transferred and posted as DySP GRP Katra vice P. K. Mengi. Mukhtyar Ahmad, DySP Traffic Anantnag was transferred and posted as DySP CID CIK Hqrs against available vacancy.
Suhail Reshi, DYSP Traffic Baramulla/Kupwara has been transferred and posted as DySP SHRC against available post.
Zahid Saif Wani, DySP Traffic Ramban was transferred and posted as DySP CID CI Jammu OIC) against available vacancy. Aijaz Ahmad, DySP Traffic Shopian/Pulwama was transferred and posted as DySP AHJ Jammu against available vacancy. Rashid Akbar, DySP JKAP-13th Bn has been transferred and posted as DySP Traffic Budgam vice Ghulam Hyder.
