JAMMU, Apr 27: Director General of Police (DGP), Prisons, J&K, SP Vaid, ordered promotion of 91 Jail Officials in the Executive Cadre to the next rank.
Head Warders Muneer Hussain, Susheela Raina, Naresh Kumar, Mulakh Raj and Ishrat Hussain have been promoted as Assistant Superintendent Jails. Others who have been promoted include 33 SG Warders and 53 Warders.
The promotions were cleared by the Departmental Promotion Committee which met under the chairmanship of DGP Prisons.
DGP Prisons expressed hope that the promotees will continue to work with the same zeal and shoulder their new responsibilities efficiently.
He said that the Department would make all possible efforts to order timely promotions and to create more promotional avenues for the prison staff.
