DGP reviews functioning of PP Schools, Parivar Fuel Stations

JAMMU, Feb 2: Director General of Police (DGP), Ashok Prasad today had a detailed review of the functioning of Police Public Schools and Police Parivar Fuel Pumps. He stressed for making the schools exemplary institutions and the fuel pumps source generating outlets.
A high level meeting of Police Parivar was held at Police Headquarters (PHQ) here today. The meeting was chaired by DGP, who is also patron of Police Parivar and was attended by Chairperson, JK Police Wives Welfare Association (PAWWA), Kiran Prasad and senior police officers, besides lady members of PAWWA.
The meeting was briefed about the initiatives taken in recent years with regard to up-gradation of Police Public Schools, Police Fuel Pumps and functioning of newly established schools at range level. An over all view of the achievements registered on this account was taken with directions to continue and further improve the progress with missionary zeal at all the levels.
The meeting had threadbare discussion on improving the functioning and quality of education of Police Public Schools. It was told that effective steps have been taken to equip the institutions with modern facilities to achieve desired results. It was also decided that facilities in newly established schools at range level would be upgraded to run these schools efficiently.
Referring to the suggestions posed by lady members and other senior officers with regard to improvements of police public school and Fuel pumps, the DGP said that need based vehicles for transportation of students would be procured for newly established schools. He also stressed to frame guidelines for running hostel messes making them more eco-friendly and hygienic. The meeting decided to constitute committees to look into other suggestions for bringing more improvements in the working of these institutions.
While discussing the matters related to the fuel pumps, the DGP said that these stations needs to be made source generating which could help in providing assistance to the families of martyrs.
