Jammu, May 2: Director General of Police, Ashok Prasad today presided over the meeting convened by IGP Jammu Zone Rajesh Kumar of all range DIGs and District SSPs of Jammu Zone in Police Control Room here today.
Mr. Prasad reviewed the crime, anti-militancy operation, general security scenario and discussed necessary steps to be taken to control the crime rate.
Threadbare discussion was held regarding disposal of pending crime cases especially cases of heinous crime. The preparedness of the Police for forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and the other law and order related arrangements was also discussed.
DGP reviewed the crime position and over-all functioning of each district with Range DIGs and District SPs. The disposal of cases registered during the current year and previous pendency was reviewed, discussed and instructions issued.
The participating police officers briefed the DGP about the available inputs and their assessment over the security and law and order situation in Jammu region. They also briefed him about the arrangements they have made for enhancing the security and maintenance of law and order.
The Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Rajesh Kumar gave an elaborate presentation on the prevalent security scenario in the division and over all position of the crime and its disposal.

Atri, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range, Gareeb Dass, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Ashkoor Wani, DIG Doda-Ramban-Kishtwar Range, Atul Goel, SSP Jammu, Vivek Gupta, SP Reasi, Mohd Suleman Choudhary, SP Udhampur, Shamsher Hussain, SP Poonch, M.Latief, SP Rajouri, Mohan Lal, SP Kathua, Sanjay Kotwal, SP Kishtwar, Anil Mangotra, SP Samba, Sharief Chowhan, SP Doda besides SP (OPS) Sheikh Zulfkar Azad.
