Qualifying typing test compulsory to appear in shorthand test

JAMMU, Jan 9: Continuing with its endeavour to provide financial aid to the SPOs at the time of need, Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has sanctioned over Rs. nine lakh in favour of 33 SPOs.
Rupees fifty thousand each has been sanctioned in favour of nine SPOs, over Rs 41,000 has been sanctioned in favour of one SPO, Rs 30,000 each has been sanctioned in favour of two SPOs and over Rs 29,000 has been sanctioned in favour of one SPO.
Rupees twenty five thousand each has been sanctioned in favour of three SPOs and Rs 20,000 each has been sanctioned in fovour of seven SPOs. Similarly, Rs 15,000 each has been sanctioned in favour of seven SPOs and over Rs 11,000 has been sanctioned in favour of one SPO. Rupees ten thousand has been sanctioned in favour of one SPO.
Meanwhile, Chairman Central Board, IGP Armed Jammu Zone has informed all the aspirants who have applied for their conversion as ASI (S) into ministerial executive cadre that their typing test would be conducted prior to the shorthand test. The candidate who fails to qualify the typing test will not be eligible for short hand test.
The notification regarding the test is available on the official website of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
However, candidates of Jammu Province from Districts Poonch, Rajouri, Jammu, Samba and Kathua who after having applied for the post of Constable in 2 Border Battalions of J&K Police and appeared/qualified in PET/PST failed to produce their original and valid documents during documentation have to produce their pending original documents before the Police Recruitment Board from January 11 to 23, 2021 at UTDRF Ground adjacent to Gulshan Ground Jammu on all working days during office hours. No such claim shall be entertained after the stipulated period. All such candidates are advised to secure their entry through the Main Gate of Police Housing Colony Gulshan Ground from Gandhi Nagar side.
