DGP sanctions meritorious scholarship

JAMMU, Apr 8: The Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh has sanctioned a meritorious scholarship/financial assistance of Rs 3.69 lakh in favour of the wards of the serving and martyr police personnel.
As per a statement, a scholarship of Rs 2.69 lakh has been announced in favour of those 26 meritorious wards of police personnel who have excelled in their Graduation and Post Graduation annual examination during the academic session 2022.
It said, Rs 12000 each has been sanctioned in favour of 12 meritorious wards who have secured 80% and above marks in the Post Graduation annual examination and Rs 8500 each has been sanctioned in favour of 14 meritorious wards who have secured 80% and above marks in annual examination of Graduation during the session 2022.
“The DGP has also sanctioned a financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh in favour of NOKs of martyr selection grade constable Mohammad Amin in connection with the marriage ceremony of his daughter,” reads the statement.
Pertinently, the scholarship/financial assistance has been sanctioned out of Central Police Welfare Fund/J&K Police Pariwar Fund.
