SRINAGAR, Sept 30: As a welfare gesture, Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has sanctioned retirement gift of Rs 49.50 lakh in favour of 66 officials of J&K Police on their retirement from the service.
The gift has been sanctioned in favour of 37 Gazetted, Non-Gazetted officers and 29 lower subordinates of the force.
As a part of this gesture, DGP sanctioned the amount in favour of 66 personnel. Out of these personnel, five personnel have retired voluntarily and sixty-one personnel including two Gazetted officers retired from service this month.
Police Headquarter is sanctioning retirement gift for the police personnel at the time of their retirement at a uniform rate of Rs 75,000. The gift is sanctioned for each retiring personnel to honour and appreciate their services in the department.
