JAMMU, Apr 30: Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbag Singh, has sanctioned a retirement gift of Rs 2.51 crore in favour of 251 police personnel, who are retiring from the services today after attaining superannuation or voluntary retirement.
A press statement said that the sanction in this context was issued vide PHQ Jammu and Kashmir order number 1410 of 2023.
Pertinently the retirement gift of Rs 1 lakh each is sanctioned to the police personnel from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund at the time of their retirement. The gift serves as a token of appreciation for the services rendered by the personnel to the department.
