JAMMU, Mar 30: The Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain has sanctioned a retirement gift of Rs 2.97 crore in favour of 297 police personnel who are retiring from services on March 31, 2024 after attaining superannuation or voluntary retirement.
As per a statement, the retirement gift of Rs 1 lakh each out of Contributory Police Welfare Fund has been issued in favour of 11 gazetted officers, 227 non-gazetted officers, 49 lower subordinates, and 10 followers of different units and wings of the department
A parting gift of Rs 40000 out of SPOs’ Contributory Fund has also been sanctioned in favour of SPOs who are disengaged after attaining the age of 60 years, as a welfare measure, said the statement.
