JAMMU, May 31: The Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain has sanctioned a retirement gift of Rs 1.15 crore in favour of 115 police personnel retiring from services on attaining superannuation or voluntary retirement.
As per an order, the retirement gift of Rs 1 lakh each has been sanctioned out of Contributory Police Welfare Fund in favour of 4 gazetted officers, 89 non-gazetted officers, 7 lower subordinates, and 5 followers belonging to different units and wings of the Police Department.
The Police Headquarters has this year sanctioned Rs 9.65 crore as retirement gift in favour of 965 police personnel.
