JAMMU, Jan 31: The Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbag Singh has sanctioned a retirement gift of Rs 1.29 crore in favour of 129 retiring police personnel.
As per a statement, the retirement gift of Rs 1 lakh each was sanctioned in favour of 6 gazetted officers, 92 non-gazetted officers, 25 lower subordinates and 6 followers.
“These personnel belong to different units and wings of the department,” read the statement.
Pertinently, the retirement gift is sanctioned to the police personnel as a token of appreciation for their services rendered to the department from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund at the time of their retirement.
