DGP sanctions Rs 1.33 crore for retiring cops

JAMMU, Feb 28: As a token of appreciation of their services to the department, the Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbag Singh today sanctioned retirement gift of Rs. 1.33 crore in favour of 133 police personnel who retired from their services after attaining superannuation or taking voluntary retirement.
As per an order retirement gift of Rs. one lakh each was sanctioned in favour of four gazetted officers, 100 non-gazetted officers, 22 lower subordinates and seven followers.
These cops belonged to different units and wings of the police department and the retirement gift is sanctioned to them from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund.
The DGP in his message wished the retirees a healthy post-retirement life.
