DGP sanctions scholarship for wards of police personnel

JAMMU, Feb 14: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh today sanctioned meritorious scholarship of Rs.1,30,800 in favour of wards of serving police personnel.
DGP has accorded sanction of meritorious scholarship in favour of 21 wards of serving police personnel who have secured 80% and above marks in the annual examination of class 12th during the academic session 2018. The scholarship has been granted out of Central Police Welfare Fund.
Four wards has been granted Rs 7200 each for securing above 90% marks and seventeen wards have been granted scholarship of Rs 6000 each for securing 80% and above marks in the annual examination of class 12th.
Police Headquarters has been sanctioning scholarships for wards of martyred and serving police personnel under different schemes to boost their morale.
