DGP sanctions scholarships in favour of 56 police wards

SRINAGAR, May 25: Director General of Police, Dr. S.P Vaid has sanctioned scholarship of Rs.3,29000 in favour of 35 school going children of police martyrs and 21 wards of deceased personnel. The scholarships have been sanctioned out of Central Police Welfare Fund and Central Police Education Fund for the academic year 2016-17.
The DGP has sanctioned Rs.2,66000 in favour of Momina Qawam, Ishrat Yousuf, Nelofer Yousuf, Adana, Taqwa Yousuf,Shazia Akbar, Ifshana Hyder, Refath Hyder, Gh. Mohammad, Mohamamad Iqbal, Seerat Mushtaq, Safoora Morifat,Tanzeela Moorifat, Mubashir Nazir, Danish Nazir, Shabrooza Nazir, Saima Majid, Waheed Khan, Farhan Nazir, Shugufta Gul, Waseem Ahmad Sheikh, Kamaldeep Singh, Priyanka Bandral, Khalid Feroz, Jaganmeet Kour, Sana Tariq, Farkhanda Bashir, Tasaduq Hussain Mir, Sourav Kumar, Nahida Farooq, Safia Majeed, Shugufta Khaliq, Ahsan Ahmad Magray, Shabnum Firdous, and Mohammad Asif, who are wards of police martyrs, who laid down their lives in line of their duty.
The DGP has also sanctioned Rs. 63000 in favour of Binsha Farooq, Azhar Nazir Lone, Saima Jan, owais Farooq, Mahi Sudan, Mayank Sudan, Syed Ayan Shafi, Syed Aiman Shafi,Syed Salika Shafi, Kamran Shahnaz, Zeshan Shahnaz, Vivek Singh, Sbyam Singh, Karan Sharma, Vanshika Thakur, Ayushi, Shahid Hamid, Younis Hamid, Arjumand Gul and Myser Mushtaq, wards of the police personnel, who died while in service due to natural/accidental deaths.
