DGP sanctions special reward for police wards

JAMMU, Jan 22: Director General of Police (DGP) Dr SP Vaid has sanctioned DGPs Special Reward in favour of 111 wards of serving police personnel.
A total of Rs 5,32,600 special reward has been sanctioned out of Central Police Welfare Fund for these students.
Rs 5,000 each has been sanctioned in favour of 32 students and Rs 3,600 each in favour of 43 students who have secured above 90 per cent and above 80 per cent respectively in 10th class annual examination during  the academic session 2016-17. Rs 6,000 each in favour of six wards and Rs 5,000 each in favour of 14 wards for securing above 90 per cent and 80 per cent respectively in class 12th. Rs 1,11,800 has been sanctioned for the wards for securing above 70 per cent marks at graduation and post graduation levels.
Police Headquarters has been sanctioning scholarships and rewards for wards of martyred and serving police personnel under different schemes to boost their morale.
