DGPC members, others protest

NOWSHERA, Nov 26: Sikh community members led by DGPC president for Rajouri held protest against the alleged harassment to the only Sikh family at Sunderbani by officials of Custodian department and some locals.
The members led by DGPC Rajouri president Bhopinder Singh Tiger, Capt (Retd)  Balwan Singh and others assembled at Noniyal Central Gurdawara, about 3 kms from here  today and then held protest demonstration on the road. They were raising slogans against the EP ( Custodian)  department and concerned Revenue officials at Sunderbani. They alleged that the only Sikh family at Sunderbani is in possession of nearly 7 kanals of land like others in the area but the Custodian officials in connivance with some local influential land mafia men are harassing this family. They condemned the role of Dy Custodian, Rajouri.
They sought the intervention of higher authorities into the matter. After holding protest on the main road for some time, they dispersed.
