RAJOURI, Dec 31: The families of the victims of the Dhangri terror attack, which claimed innocent lives two years ago, have announced their decision to begin a protest from January 1, 2025, demanding justice.
Despite the passage of two years, the perpetrators of the heinous crime remain at large, leaving the victims’ families devastated and frustrated.
Saroj Bala, the mother of two brothers killed in the attack, expressed her anguish over the lack of progress in the case. “We have approached the authorities multiple times, but justice continues to evade us. When we met SSP Rajouri, he informed us that the case is with the National Investigation Agency (NIA). However, no arrests have been made against those responsible for killing my sons and others that night,” she said.
She further stated that the NIA has only arrested two elderly individuals in connection with an attack involving an army vehicle, but none of the actual perpetrators of the Dhangri attack have been apprehended.
“We lost our loved ones in that brutal attack, and even after two years, no one has been held accountable. Our pain is unending, and the administration’s inaction is unacceptable,” Bala added.
The families of the victims have resolved to continue their protest until justice is served. Saroj urged the Government and investigative agencies to expedite the process and ensure that those responsible for the Dhangri terror attack are brought to justice.
The Dhangri terror attack, which caused immense grief and loss, remains a haunting memory for the affected families. As they prepare to launch their protest, their demand for justice echoes as a powerful call for accountability and closure.
