Dharmarth Trust employees continue protest for Shrine Board

JAMMU, Jan 20: Dharmarth Trust employees, who are agitating for the last 51 days and observing chain hunger strike for the last 24 days, today took out a rally here seeking intervention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha in constitution of Board for all the temples under Dharmarth Trust on the pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
Holding banners and placards in their hands, the employees gathered at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple and staged a strong demonstration from where they took out massive rally towards Maheshpura Chowk.
A large number of the employees, including women and their children, continued their dharna at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple and raised slogans against the J&K Government and Dharmarth Trust management.
The protesting employees are also demanding CBI enquiry into alleged land scams by the persons having control on Dharmarth Trust for the last 60 years.
The persons who sat on hunger strike today, included Pt Ajay Kumar, Pt Jagdesh Raj, Ashwani Kumar, Pt Karun Goswami, Ajay, Gopal, Faquir Chand, Pt Rajesh Kumar, Banarasi and Pt Madan Lal.
It was decided that agitated employees will hold a protest at Chowk Chabutra at 1:00 PM tomorrow.
Ex-President Kernail Chand Thakur, ex-General Secretary, Pritam Sharma, Working President Rajinder Shastri, Sunit Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Subash, Pt Parshotam, Pt Brijmohan Sharma, Pt Om Parkash, Pt Rampal, Pt Balwant Shastri, Vimal Khajuria, Sat Paul, Pawan and others took part in the protest demonstration.
