JAMMU, Aug 28: President of J&K Dharmarth Trust, Ajay Gandotra today met Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg as well as Director Tourism Jammu Vivekanand Rai and held threadbare discussions with them on initiatives to enhance facilities for the devotees visiting temples and shrines in Jammu, especially Shri Raghunathji Temple.
During the meeting, Ajay Gandotra appealed the Deputy Commissioner Jammu for installation of High Mast lights and solar lights and improving potable water supply in the Raghunathji Temple premises.
The DC directed JAKEDA officer Deepak Sharma to expedite the process for installing solar lights inside and in vicinity of Shri Raghunathji Temple. He also directed the officials of Jal Shakti Department to improve water supply in the Temple and also explore the possibility of a bore well to have 24×7 supply of water.
Later, Ajay Gandotra met Director Tourism Jammu and urged him to install multi-colour lights and LED screen on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami so that rituals performed inside the Temple can also be seen by the passersby and the traders of the Bazaars located outside the Temple.
Gandotra also appealed the Director Tourism to handover the accommodations at Vasukinath and Gupt Ganga temples in Bhaderwah to the Dharmarth Trust after their completion for the welfare of visiting devotees. Besides, he also urged the Director Tourism to install speakers at the poles of Raghunath Bazaar for Aarti and Bhajans so that the entire area resonates with religious hymns and send people to trance.
