JAMMU, Apr 26: J&K Dharmarth Trust here today paid rich floral tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh, the last Dogra ruler of the erstwhile princely J&K State on his death anniversary.
In this regard, a hawan was organized at the historic Shree Raghunath Ji Temple in Jammu.
Devotees, priests and Trust members participated in the event and offered prayers for the Maharaja.
Dr. P.S Pathania, Trust president highlighted the immense contributions of Maharaja Hari Singh in the socio-political and religious spheres of the region. He remembered the Maharaja as a visionary ruler who laid the foundation for progressive governance and equitable reforms.
Ashok Kumar Sharma, Secretary of the Trust, emphasized the Maharaja’s commitment to secular values and good governance, which left a lasting legacy in the State.
Several prominent citizens, devotees and religious scholars were present on this occasion and they paid homage to the late ruler.
The event concluded with a collective prayer for peace and harmony in the region.
Meanwhile, under the leadership of Vikram Singh Vicky, Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) J&K also paid tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh at his statue at Tawi Bridge.
Vikram, president YRS threw light on the life and contributions of Maharaja Hari Singh for the betterment of J&K.
