Dharmic calendar, bhajans in digital form hit stands

JAMMU, Mar 1: A dharmic calendar along with Bhajans, Maha Shivratri Pooja, Janam Din Pooja, Navgreh Pooja, Panchastawi and Durga Sapshati with Bhagawat Geeta and Lal Vaakh (verses of Laleshwari) with Kashmiri translation in digital mode hit the stands at a function organised by Pir Panchal here, today.
The Pooja and Bhajans were compiled by Viajeshwar Jyotshio Karyaklya Gole Gujral. On the occasion a dharmic calendar was also released. The function was presided over by President, Pir Panchal, Ramesh Hangloo while well known artist, Bihari Kak and Jai Krishan Koul Bezan were special guests.
The Jyotshi Karyalya was represented by Avtar Krishan Jyotshi who said compiling these poojas in one CD and Pen drive was the need of the hour to keep the Kashmiri Pandits who are scattered all over globe linked to their culture and traditions.
Ramesh Hangloo president Pir Panchal, while addressing highlighted the role of Pir Panchal in and Radio Sharda in promoting the cultural values among the displaced Pandits especially the younger generation. He said the Vijeshwar Panchang which has performed its role in enrichment of Kashmiri Pandit culture for centuries played a remarkable role after the mass exodus in keeping the community linked to its culture, traditions and ethos.
