NEW DELHI, Oct 20:
A Delhi court today sentenced all the five convicts to life imprisonment for abduction and gangrape of a 30-year-old female employee of a call centre in 2010. The victim, who was dropped off along with a female colleague on the main road near Dhaula Kuan by an office cab after night shift, was dragged into a pickup truck by the accused. Her colleague, however, managed to escape. The victim was taken to an isolated place and abandoned after rape. The trial court judge in his order noted that “the convicts in the case do not deserve any leniency or mercy and imprisonment would meet the ends of justice”.
