“My Town My Pride 2.0”

JAMMU, Dec 2: As part of “My Town My Pride 2.0” campaign, Jammu Development Authority (JDA) today launched e-Services for transfer of JDA assets, application for permission to mortgage and application for permission for execution of conveyance deed.
The e-Services, formally launched by Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department and Chairman, JDA, Dheeraj Gupta, was a sequel to J&K Government’s resolve of providing transparent and effective service delivery to the citizens at their doorsteps.
With roll out of these e-services, the allottees of various residential and commercial assets of JDA can avail the services from the comfort of their home, make related payments online and monitor status of their applications. With a view to provide Ease of Doing Business, JDA is already providing online processing of building permissions, change in land use, allotment of plots, auction of commercial assets applications on its website www.jda.jk.gov.in apart from enabling the citizens to know their Master Plan Land use of any location in the Jammu Master Plan 2032 limits.
All the online services can also be accessed through a user friendly ‘Jammu Development Authority’ citizen mobile app which is available on android play store.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Secretary appreciated various digital initiatives taken up by the Jammu Development Authority in recent past. He asked the officers to work hard towards complete digital Land Management System and real time building activity monitoring and control system. He exhorted upon them to focus on business process reengineering so as to deliver the e-services more effectively with enhanced transparency.
Meanwhile, Director General, Floriculture, Parks & Gardens, Jammu, Jatinder Singh participated in training/awareness programme on commercial floriculture held for public and entrepreneurs by the Department of Floriculture, Parks & Gardens Department Jammu at Municipal Committee, R.S.Pura.
A total number of 55 persons attended training/awareness programme. Prominent among them were Sat Paul, President Municipal Committee R.S. Pura; Kishore Kumar, Vice President Municipal Committee R.S. Pura; Daya Ram, Councilor Ward No 13; Rakesh Gupta, Councilor Ward No 02; Raj Kumar, Councilor Ward No 6; Ravi Saini EO, Municipal Committee R. S Pura & Showkat Ali Assistant Floriculture Officer Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director General laid emphasis on adopting different commercial floriculture schemes in the towns and developing Vertical Gardens, Terrace Gardens, Home Lawns (Har Ghar Bagicha) for increasing the green cover of the area & maintaining ecological balance. A detailed discussion was also held with the Principal of the School, Ajay Sharma and all the staff members of GHSS (Boys) R.S. Pura on the benefits of conducting Shehri Jan Abhiyan for the welfare of the public in the ULBs.
The Director General also inspected the stalls put up by different departments at the venue depicting various schemes and programmes implemented in the District and reviewed the progress of online services being provided by the Govt. under different schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today visited Municipal Council Complex Shopian and took part in various activities being undertaken under the flagship Shehri Jan Abhiyan being held as a prelude to the ‘My Town My Pride’ programme.
Vaishya said that he is closely monitoring the identification of youth for setting up self-employment ventures through various Govt. schemes in vogue. He assured the youth that a hassle free mechanism is in place for taking the benefits under MUMKIN, PMEGP, etc and they should come forward to set up self-employment ventures.
He also directed officials to ensure that awareness regarding these schemes is held regularly to ensure that any interested youth can avail the opportunity.
He also distributed land passbooks among the beneficiaries.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad visited Odina, Sumbal to inspect the ongoing works on the Transit Accommodation.
During his visit to the Transit Accommodation site, the DC assessed the progress on ongoing works there.
SDM Sumbal and concerned engineers from executing departments briefed the DC about progress of work on the project.
Officers at Transit Accommodation informed that transit accommodation is coming up at the cost of Rs 57.60 crores comprising 480 flats in 30 blocks. They said each block is four-storied with four flats in each storey, totaling 16 flats in each block.
The concerned executing department informed that 06 flats are near completion and will be ready to use by the end of this month. It was further apprised that work on other blocks is in full swing and shall be completed within the set deadlines.
Dr. Owais exhorted upon the executing agencies to expedite the progress of work by way of engaging more men and machinery so that work gets completed well before stipulated time frame without compromising the quality of work.
