JAMMU, Oct 2: To commemorate birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Director Health Services, Jammu, Dr B S Pathania today flagged off Kushth Mukti Abhiyan Rath Yatra at Directorate of Health Services Jammu.
The motive of this Rath Yatra is to make the public aware about leprosy disease.
Dr Rakesh Gandotra, Ex-Zonal Leprosy Officer was the special invitee on the occasion while various officers and officials were also present.
Anti Leprosy Rath will move through different areas of Jammu district to make the general masses aware about the facts pertaining to leprosy viz, leprosy is curable, medicines for treatment of leprosy available free of cost and leprosy patients under treatment can stay with his family etc.
