DHS inspects sites for NCDC branch, Infectious Diseases Hospital

JAMMU, June 29: Director Health Services (DHS) Jammu Dr Renu Sharma today visited sites identified for the establishment of the branch of National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and 200-bedded infectious Diseases Hospital.
Dr Sharma accompanied by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Jammu Dr J P Singh, Dr Yashpal Sharma (MD, J&K Medical Supplies Corporation Limited) and Liaison Officer (Land cases, Directorate of Health Services) R K Chadha, at first visited Chawadhi, the proposed site of NCDC branch.
Later, Director Health Services visited Vijaypur in district Samba for inspection of two identified sites for establishment of Infectious Disease Hospital. One of the proposed sites is 50 kanal state land under Khasra number 223/92 at village Bara adjacent to Vimal Muni College near AIIMS Vijaypur. CMO Samba, SDM Vijaypur and Tehsildar Vijaypur were also accompanying the Director Health Services.
Dr Sharma also visited Sub District Ghagwal along with CMO Samba for inspection of the site identified for installation of oxygen concentrated plant in the Hospital premises. She passed directions to CMO Samba and other concerned staff for some changes in the Hospital for the betterment of patients.
