Srinagar, Aug 22: The Director of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), Dr. Jehangir Bakshi, today conducted a joint visit with senior officers from NHM J&K to PHC Chanapora and MMC Sanat Nagar.
The aim of the visit was to review the establishment of the Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC) at PHC Chanapora, as directed by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GoI.
It is pertinent to mention that the Health Emergency Operation Centres (HEOCs), established under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (ABHIM), are designed to provide robust responses to health emergencies.
They play a critical role in coordinating and managing health crises, ensuring timely interventions, and improving overall emergency preparedness and response at both state and national levels, DHKS said in a statement issued here.
“The team also assessed the status of the Oxygen Generation Plant (OGP) at PHC Chanapora. The visit focused on making both institutions functional after a thorough gap analysis.”
DHSK also interacted with patients and the public, assuring them that their demands, mainly having the PHC Chanapora run round the clock with the necessary manpower, would be addressed within a stipulated time.
