Srinagar, Sept 26: In a bid to enhance the ongoing Ayushman Bhava campaign, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, the Director of Health Services, Kashmir today conducted a comprehensive review across three districts, including Srinagar, Budgam, and Ganderbal.
Dr. Rather commenced his tour at the Primary Health Center (PHC) in Batamaloo, where he engaged with Zonal Medical Officers, Medical Officers, paramedics, and Asha workers.
During the interaction, he emphasized the need for dedication and urged them to contribute to the program’s success, while stressing the importance of reaching every individual in remote areas to ensure that no one is left without access to healthcare services.
Furthermore, Dr. Rather highlighted the significance of creating awareness among the people about the various services and schemes provided by the Government of India for the welfare of citizens.
The review meeting witnessed the presence of Assistant Directors from the Directorate and Chief Medical Officers from the respective districts.
Subsequently, the Director examined the progress of the Ayushmaan Bhava campaign at the Chief Medical Officer’s Office in Ganderbal. Divisional and district-level officers, along with block officers and field workers, actively participated in the discussion.
Dr. Rather underscored the importance of optimal utilization of healthcare services and encouraged the staff to work diligently to achieve the goals set under the Ayushmaan Bhava initiative, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to reach the farthest corners of society with healthcare services.
During the review in Budgam, senior officials also attended the meeting. Dr. Rather, while interacting with the media, explained the significance of the ABHA ID, which will maintain health records for future reference, streamlining the process when individuals visit healthcare professionals.
