JAMMU, Mar 26: Chairman Anjuman Minhaz-e-Rasool Maulana Athar Dehlavi has said that dialogue with all the stake holders is must for the restoration of permanent peace in the Jammu and Kashmir State.
While reacting to the incident of snatching of AK-47 rifle from his PSO late last evening in Jammu by suspected militants, Dehlavi said that Pakistan has been creating trouble in the State for the last over 27 years. It has caused massive killings and destruction by its ill-designs. But despite this all, that country will not be allowed to succeed in his designs. He condemned the incident and said that designs of the miscreants will be exposed shortly as one of them has already been nabbed by police.
Dehlavi further said that the youth from Kashmir have been misguided by some anti-India forces and unfortunately being exploited against their own country soldiers. He said that this process of pelting of stones and use of pellet guns should stop in the State as it has brought miseries. The youth of the State can not be befooled for long and they are realising that they are being exploited by some forces for their vested interests. It is the collective responsibility of all the main stream political parties and other groups to bring the youth on the national main stream and make way for holding peace talks.
Referring to the incident of kidnapping of some family members of a police officer in Kashmir by some gunmen, Dehlavi said some groups were trying to terrorise people in Kashmir but they should understand that their designs would not deter the people associated with the initiative of peace talks. There is urgent need to expose the people of radical mindset and creating division in the society. The Govt should take the support of all in the restoration of peace and dialogue must be initiated on Naga pattern (Nagaland) in Kashmir.
Dehlavi said that like our soldiers, border farmers are also guarding our boundaries and along LoC, majority of the farmers are Muslims. Their contribution has to be taken into account. Govt of India has to care of all the people equally and also take welfare measures for the people residing along borders. The PMO must formulate special Border Area Development Programme for these people, he added.
He stressed that Govt of India must raise the issue of Gilgit- Baltistan and Balochistan forcefully at the International level and also pass a fresh resolution in the Parliament on its stand over Gilgit-Baltistan and expose Pakistan before the entire world.
