Shimla, July 15 : Seven-Month-old Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Government decided to hike Value Added Tax on Diesel by Rs three per litre.
A notification issued by Principal Secretary Excise and Taxation Bharat Kheda said BAT on Diesel being charged at the rate of 9.96 pet cent or Rs 7.40 per litre to be charged now at rate of 13.9 pc or Rs 10.40 per liter . The hile would come into force with effect from Saturday.
It is second time whenr Sukhu government in last seven months given second hike as it has been hike prices on fuel prices stating to rationalise it at par with border states.
