JAMMU, Sept 27: A district level “Role Play Competition” was organized by DIET Jammu at Government Girls High School, Gandhi Nagar.
The competition was sponsored by J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE), Jammu.
The themes chosen for role playing were healthy relationship among adolescents, charms and challenges of adolescence, HIV/AIDS stigmatization and causes and impact of drug abuse.
The object of Role Play Competition was to build awareness and sensitize the students about the various stresses and challenges faced by the adolescents.
Principal, DIET Jammu, Mohinder Singh was the chief guest on the occasion, who inaugurated the competition and emphasized the importance of such programmes. He was highly impressed by the performances put-up by the students and interacted with audience to assess the effectiveness of the role play activity.
Sixty students from 10 zones of Jammu district participated in the Role Play Competition.
Students of Government High School, Digiana put up an outstanding act and bagged the Ist prize while the 2nd prize was claimed by Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Miran Sahib and 3rd by Government High School Chowadi.
Dr Chander Shekher, HoD DIET, Jammu gave away the prizes. The programme was organized and managed by Darshna Kudyar, HoD, Anita Badyal, HoD and Reva Khajuria, senior Lecturer, besides the faculty member of DIET Jammu.
