Different educational institutions celebrate Republic Day with nationalistic zeal

JAMMU, Jan 27: Different educational institutions here celebrated 74th Republic Day with nationalist zeal.
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra with zeal, enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. Nagendra Singh Jamwal, Registrar SMVDU unfurled the National Flag in presence of Finance Officer, Neeraj Gupta and others.
The 74th Gantantra Diwas was celebrated with traditional fervor and patriotism at Katra, the base town to the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji.
The main function at Katra was held at the Shrine Board’s Sports Complex, where Anshul Garg, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, unfurled the tricolor and took salute at an impressive march-past by contingents drawn from J&K Police, CRPF and NCC besides students of various educational institutions.
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated at University of Jammu with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. It was attended by teaching faculty, officers, staff and students of the University. Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu unfurled the National Flag and released Tri-Colour Balloons in presence of Prof. Naresh Padha, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar, Prof. Neelu Rohmetra, Prof Rajeev Rattan, Director, CDC, Prof. Parkash C. Antahal, Dean Students Welfare, Prof Vishav Raksha, Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee and others.
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism at Bhaderwah Campus of University of Jammu. Academic Coordinator Bhaderwah Campus, Dr. Kuljit Singh unfurled the Tricolour on behalf of Rector Bhaderwah Campus. Rector Bhaderwah Campus, Prof Rahul Gupta said that Constitution of India came into existence on this day in the year 1950.
NSS Unit-VI at Kathua Campus in collaboration with Campus Culture Committee celebrated 74th Republic Day. Flag hoisting ceremony was performed by Rector Kathua Campus, Dr. Meenakshi Kilam and the event was compeered by Shikha Khajuria.
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism at Poonch Campus of University of Jammu. Campus Officer Poonch Campus, Dr. Rubia Bukhari unfurled the National Flag. Director Poonch Campus Prof. Dipankar Sengupta said: “We are living in a democratic country where each citizen has right to equality, freedom, right against exploitation right to freedom of religion, cultural and educational rights and right to constitutional remedies.”
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated by Central University of Jammu (CUJ) and Tricolour was unfurled by Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain. The Guard of Honour was presented by the contingent of NCC Cadets of CUJ.
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with zeal at Cluster University campus in Jammu. This year Republic Day celebration is themed around ‘Jan-Bhagidari. Prof. Bechan Lal, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu unfurled the National Flag.
SKUAST-Jammu celebrated 74th Republic Day with fervor and gaiety. Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai extended Republic Day greetings to teaching, non-teaching staff and students of the University. Prof. J.P Sharma, Former Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu and Dr. Sumati Sharma, Former Additional Director, DRDO, New Delhi were special guests.
IIM Jammu celebrated 74th Republic Day with patriotic fervor. The celebrations commenced with unfurling of National Flag followed by a review of the Parade by Prof. B.S Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu at its Canal Road Campus. The unfurling of the National Flag at Jallochak Campus was done by Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean of Academics, IIM Jammu. This was followed by National Anthem recitation.
National Flag was hoisted at main and satellite campuses of the University of Kashmir (KU) on 74th Republic Day. Vice Chancellor, Prof Nilofer Khan led the flag hoisting ceremony which was attended by Dean Academic Affairs, Dean Colleges, Dean Research, Registrar, Controller of Examinations and others.
At South Campus of KU in Anantnag, the Director, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad Khanday led the flag hoisting ceremony.
National Flag hoisting ceremony at North Campus, Baramulla, was led by the Director Prof Bashir A Ganai.
At the Kupwara Campus, Director Prof Parvez Ahmad led the flag hoisting ceremony.
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar where Director Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Sehgal unfurled the Tricolor in presence in presence of Institute’s Registrar Prof. Syed Kaiser Bukhari, Deans, HODs, senior police officers and others.
Central University of Kashmir (CUK), Registrar, Prof. M. Afzal Zargar unfurled the National Flag to mark 74th Republic Day celebration. Addressing the employees comprising senior officials and other functionaries, Prof. Zargar said the country has progressed leaps and bounds in all the spheres and sectors since independence and has become a major global power.
Prof. Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, Vice Chancellor IUST unfurled the National Flag on 74th Republic Day. The ceremony was attended by University faculty and staff. On this occasion Registrar IUST, Prof Naseer Iqbal led the Patriotic Run, organized by Veterans India in collaboration with AICTE and recognized by FIT India, under Sports Authority of India.
Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri celebrated the 74th Republic Day with patriotic fervor and gaiety. Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor of the University unfurled the National Flag and took solute at Republic Day Parade. He paid rich tributes to the fallen heroes who made supreme sacrifices for the nation.
Govt College of Education, Canal Road Jammu celebrated Republic Day with enthusiasm.  Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof Aekta Gupta and NSS Programme Officer Dr Shubhra Jamwal threw light on the importance of the day. Patriotic Song Competition was organised on the occasion.   The event was organized by Cultural Committee, Physical Education Deptt and NSS unit.  Prof Anju Bala, Prof Satish Sharma, Prof Shalini, Prof Deep, Dr Raman Kalari, Prof Shapia, Prof Sarita and Prof Neeraj were among those present on the occasion.
GDC Paloura celebrated 74th Republic Day and Principal of the College Dr. Ashu Vashisht hoisted the National Flag which was followed by recitation of National Anthem.
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervor at Govt. Degree College, Ghagwal. Unfurling of National Flag was done by the chief guest, Dr. Sujata Slathia, Principal of the College. This was followed by recitation of National Anthem by the students. As it was Basant Panchami also, the Principal, staff and students paid their deepest respects and showered flowers on Mata Saraswati.
Bhartiya Group of Colleges Udhampur-Bhaskar Degree College and Bhartiya College of Education celebrated 74th Republic Day. National Flag was unfurled by chairperson of the College, Madhu Khajuria.
On Republic Day, Government Degree College Mahanpur organized a patriotic song competition after unfurling National Flag and this was followed by National Anthem recitation.
NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College Sidhra under the aegis of IQAC celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervor and zeal. The programme started with hoisting of National Flag by Principal GDC Sidhra, Dr B.B Anand and this was followed by recitation of National Anthem.
Government Degree College Vijaypur under the aegis of Ek Bharat, Sreshtha Bharat celebrated Republic Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. Dr. Vandana Gupta, Principal of the College unfurled the National Flag and this was followed with recitation of National Anthem and raising of Vande Mataram, Jai Hind-Jai Bharat and Bharat Mata Ki Jai slogans.
Department of Music, in collaboration with NCC/NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College, R.S Pura organized a Cultural Programme on the auspicious occasion of 74th Republic Day and Basant Panchami. Principal of the College Prof. Rajni Bhagat lightened the ceremonial lamp.
GDC Akhnoor celebrated 74th Republic Day with patriotic fervor. The programme was organized by NCC wing and sports unit of GDC Akhnoor under the supervision of the Principal Dr. Romilla Malla Bhatt who also unfurled the National Flag.
NSS Unit of GDC Purmandal in collaboration with cultural committee of the College celebrated 74th Republic Day and Basant Panchami. The celebrations started with unfurling of National Flag by Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Raj Shree Dhar in presence of chief guest Sarpanch Katwalta, Sapna Sapolia and guest of honour, Joint Director Planning Department, Sunil Pandita.
Chenab College of Education celebrated the Republic Day and Basant Panchami with great enthusiasm. National Flag hosting ceremony was done by member secretary, Kunal Chib and Principal of the College, Dr. Sunita Sharma. A show of colorful dishes made in ‘Yellow’ colour was presented by students and teachers in the form of decorated stalls.
Dogra Group of Colleges-Dogra College of Education, Dogra Law College and Dogra Degree College celebrated Republic Day in Bari Brahmana campus with great pomp and show. Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and Chairman Dogra Educational Trust hoisted the National Flag which was followed by the recitation of National Anthem
Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu celebrated 74th Republic Day with great fervour and gaiety. Arun Bangotra, Principal of the College hoisted the National Flag.
Government Polytechnic College Kathua celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervor. Vinod Azad, Principal of the College hoisted the National Flag.
Government ITI Udhampur celebrated 73rd Republic Day with patriotic fervor. Chairman IMC of ITI Udhampur, Arun P Gupta unfurled the National Flag and took salute which was followed by recitation of National Anthem.
Delhi Public School Jammu celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervour. The ‘Tiranga’ was unfurled by Principal DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra and this was followed by singing of National Anthem. Main highlight of the event was a drama based dance performance which was a tribute to the soldiers. President RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, PVC, Dr. Kunwrani Ritu Singh and Director S.S Sodhi urged everyone to work together for the unity and integrity of the nation.
Hermann Gmeiner School Jammu celebrated Republic Day with enthusiasm. The celebration began with Sarswati Vandana. Principal Subrata Kundu unfurled the Tri-Colour and took the salute.
Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School, Jeevan Nagar celebrated 74th Republic Day with patriotic fervor. Principal of the School Rameshwar Mengi along with Director of RMPS Rakshan Mengi and Director of Pushp Vatika Risheek Mengi hoisted the National Flag.
Republic Day was celebrated by Dogra Higher Secondary School with patriotic zeal. The event commenced with hoisting of National Flag by MD of the School Gambhir Dev Singh Charak. Students took pledge to keep the city clean and green under the guidance of JMC Mayor and Commissioner. On Republic Day, National Flag was hoisted at R.M Public School. Chairman of the School Rameshwar Mengi along with chief guest Colonel Anil Pandit hoisted the National Flag.
Govt. Sri Ranbir Model Hr. Sec. School celebrated 74th Republic Day with patriotic zeal. Principal, Anjali Gupta unfurled the National Flag and highlighted the importance of the Constitution.
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated at Brig. Khuda Baksh Memorial Public Hr. Sec School in the presence of Shah Mohammad Chowdhary, Chairman Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Jammu and others. National Flag was hoisted and National Anthem was recited.
SD Tara Puri Public High School Gandhi Nagar celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervour. The National Flag was hoisted by chief guest, Bhanu Mahajan, JMC Councillor.
On Republic Day JMC Councillor of Ward number 74 and senior Democratic Azad Party leader, Sobat Ali hoisted National Flag at Government Model Higher Secondary School Sunjwan, Government High School Bhatindi and at Jalalabad Chowk.
SD Kanya Vidyalaya Jullaka Mohalla celebrated Republic Day and the National Flag was unfurled by Parshotam Dadichi, President of Sanatan Dharam Sabha J&K.
Chenab Valley Public School, Ranjan celebrated the 74th Republic Day and the National Flag was hoisted by Principal, Dheeraj Thakur.
Army Public School Damana celebrated 74th Republic Day and the National Flag was hoisted by Pushpinder Kaur, Principal of the School. The programme concluded with Havan and National Anthem recitation.
An impressive function was organized at Govt High School Channi Rama to celebrate 74th Republic Day.
The National Flag was unfurled by Headmaster of the School, Anoop Sharma and Surat Singh Toofani along with Kamal Singh, JMC Councillor.
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with great patriotic zeal at Dy.SP Gulbadhan Singh Hr. Sec. School Khour. Municipal Committee Khour Chairman, Deputy Ram was chief guest and BDC chairman, Balbir Singh was guest of honour. BSF School Jammu celebrated 74th Republic Day with patriotic fervour. IG BSF Jammu Frontier, D.K Boora was chief guest while DIG/PSO S.K Singh and other distinguished officers of the force also graced the occasion. The programme commenced with unfurling of National Flag by the chief guest.

Govt. Hr. Sec. School Jakhbar, Kathua celebrated 74th Republic Day. DDC Member Block Nagri Parole, Sandeep Majotra hoisted the National Flag.
Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and gaiety at MHSS Ramnagar. Banti Devi, President MC Ramnagar presided over the function. SDM Ramnagar, Shishir Gupta hoisted the National Flag.
NITL Higher Secondary Udhampur celebrated 74th Republic Day. Principal of the School, Ajay Gupta highlighted the importance of the Constitution. Students presented cultural items. National Anthem was presented at the end of the function.
On Republic Day, a contingent of Government Higher Secondary School Nishat, Srinagar participated in the Republic Day Parade at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium Sonwar, Srinagar and was declared as best contingent and it was also awarded first position.
Republic Day was celebrated at Govt Boys Middle School Old Janipur. School Incharge Neelam Parihar unfurled the National Flag.

Raina Higher Secondary School at Paloura and Chak Seri Bhalwal celebrated Republic Day and the National Flag was hoisted by Mohit Raina, Principal of the School at Chak Seri Bhalwal and Preeti Sharma, Principal of the School at Paloura.
