JAMMU, Nov 15: Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT)-Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) during a function here today remembered Birsa Munda on his 150th birth anniversary.
The function was organized under the chairmanship of Arshad Ali Choudhary, chairman GDCT wherein Zafar Iqbal Choudhary, Journalist and Dr. Javaid Rahi, Secretary Kala Kendra Society were guests of honour.
Welcome address was delivered by general secretary GDCT, M. Sadiq Azad.
Different items of Gojri culture were presented on this occasion like Gojri Bait by Azad Ahmed Azad and Zakriya Bano, student of PG Hostel Jammu highlighted the issues of Tribal Women.
Mohammad Sajid of PG Department of Urdu (JU) emphasized on Tribal Schemes and their implementation.
Mohammad Imran, student of Boys PG Hostel Jammu highlighted issues of Tribal youth.
Dr. Javaid Rahi informed the guests about the Tribal identity & various developmental schemes of Government.
Zafar Iqbal Choudhary stressed on providing proper health education to Tribals.
Chairman GDCT, Arshad Ali Choudhary remembered Baba-e-Qoum Dr. Masud Choudhary.
Chairman GDCT presented individual mementoes to the guests of honour and participating students including Shahida Khanam from Bandipora for their services for the welfare of Gujjar & Bakarwal Community.
Tariq Abrar, Trustee presented vote of thanks and the proceedings of the programme were conducted by general secretary, M. Sadiq Azad and Naseem Akhter.
