JAMMU, Sept 14: Different organisations here today celebrated Hindi Diwas and organised various programmes in this regard.
Sai Shyam College of Education & Sai Shyam Public Hr. Sec. School celebrated Hindi Diwas with full enthusiasm during a programme. In inaugural address Principal of the School, Sanjeev Kumar Pandita spoke on the importance of the day and asked all the students to use Hindi language in all spheres of life. Dr. Usha Tickoo, Director Sai Shyam Educational Society said that Hindi unites us and links us with cultural ethos of the nation.
Govt Degree College Paloura organized a function on Hindi Diwas and highlighted the significance of Hindi language and its cultural heritage. The event was held under the guidance of the College Principal, Dr. Kulvinder Kour. Poster making and poetry recitation competition was also held on this occasion.
Government Degree College Akhnoor organized an enlightening and informative Doha Gayan Competition to celebrate Hindi Diwas. Dr. Romila Malla Bhat, Principal GDC Akhnoor stressed that Hindi plays a vital role in India’s national identity, cultural expression and communication while also enjoying growing international significance.
Department of Hindi GDC, Sunderbani celebrated Hindi Diwas. Various activities like poster making, essay writing and poetry recitation were organised to celebrate the event under the guidance of Principal of the College, Dr. Ashu Vashisht.
District Library Kathua organized a Hindi book exhibition and Kavi Sammelan to celebrate Hindi Diwas. The event saw enthusiastic participation from readers, noted writers, social activists, journalists and scholars. The exhibition was inaugurated by Anna Jamwal, Tehsildar Nagri in the presence of distinguished citizens and dignitaries like Amit Khajuria, Baldev Raj Bhagat, Madan Mangotra and Sham Lal Sharma.
NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of GDC Vijaypur organised a series of activities like seminar, symposium and poetry recitation competition to celebrate Hindi Diwas. The event commenced with the welcome address by Dr. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science). Participating students through their poems, seminar, symposium and speech threw light on Hindi’s importance as a unifying language. Whole of the event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Vandana Verma, Principal of the College.
The NSS Wing, in association with the Department of Hindi at GDC Bishnah celebrated Hindi Diwas on the theme ‘Bridging Traditional Knowledge and Artificial Intelligence’ under the guidance of Dr. Shallu Samyal, Principal of the College. In this event participants delivered insightful speeches on the significance of Hindi in today’s world.
Government Degree College, Ramgarh celebrated Hindi Diwas with enthusiasm. The event was organized under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College. The highlight of the celebration was a thought-provoking lecture delivered by the guest speaker, Professor Balwan Singh, Department of Hindi at Government College of Education, Jammu.
GDC Ramban celebrated Hindi Diwas by organizing various activities like poetry recitation, essay writing and Hindi typing workshop under the patronage of Prof. Archana Kaul, Principal GDC Ramban. A workshop on ‘Computer Basics and Hindi Typing’ was inaugurated on this occasion and the students learned about computers and practiced Hindi typing. The students also recited poems and an essay writing activity was also held.
Department of Hindi at Government Degree College Ramnagar organized an event to celebrate Hindi Diwas under the guidance of Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, Principal of the College. A seminar was organised in which 15 speakers participated. Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, chief guest appreciated the efforts of Department of Hindi and participants in different programmes. He also said that such activities go hand in hand with NEP 2020 in which the student learn different skills, develop divergent and creative thinking.
Bhartiya College of Education, Udhampur celebrated Hindi Diwas by organizing a Mushaira to promote Hindi language and showcase its richness through the art of poetry. Dignitaries present in the event were Madhu Khajuria, Chairperson of the College, Shiv Kumar, Managing Member, Dr. S.K Magotra, Principal, Bhaskar Degree College and all the faculty members. The Mushaira brought together an impressive line -up of renowned poets and students, who captivated all with their poetic compositions.
To celebrate Hindi Diwas, an awareness programme on ‘Rajbhasha Hindi Ke Badhte Charan Aur Sambhavnayen’ was organised at Government College for Women, Udhampur. The programme was organized by the Department of Hindi in collaboration with Department of Music, GCW Udhampur. Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Nalini Pathania was chief guest and she urged for more such programmes to create awareness and promote Hindi language.
Government Dy. SP Aman Thakur Memorial Degree College, Kastigarh celebrated Hindi Diwas and organised many programmes under the guidance of Prof. Koshal Kumar Mangotra, Principal of the College. Students of the College recited poems in Hindi and spoke on the significance of Hindi language. Dr. Anupam Lata, Assistant Professor threw light on the history of Hindi Diwas.
On Hindi Diwas, an essay writing competition was organized among the students at Sant Ishwar Bharti Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School. Main objective of the competition was to make students familiar with great Indian culture, historical importance, character and life of great men. From today, Hindi fortnight will be celebrated in the School for a week. Principal of the School, Renu Sharma threw light on the importance of the day.
Hindi Diwas was celebrated at Government Model Higher Secondary School, Hiranagar under the supervision of Principal Sumesh Gupta. On this occasion a competition was conducted on the theme ‘Use of Hindi as Official Language of India’. Principal Somesh Gupta threw light on the importance of the day. Aadarsh Bhartiya Samaj, a social organization working under the guidance of Col. (Retd) R.K Sharma, chairman and Daljeet Singh, president celebrated Hindi Diwas. Speaking on the occasion R.K Sharma said: “We should promote the use of Hindi language in every sphere of life for the unity and integrity of nation so that Hindi as a national language and mother tongue may retain its glorious importance.”
