JAMMU, Jan 28: Different organisations here celebrated the Republic Day with patriotic fervour.
Bharat Vikas Parishad celebrated the 70th Republic Day at Trikuta Nagar with great pomp and show.
Kavinder Gupta, ex-Deputy CM was the chief guest while Vikram Randhawa, MLC was the guest of honour and Corporator, Neeraj Puri was also present on the occasion. The chief guest hoisted the National Flag and this was followed by the National Anthem recitation.
Republic Day was celebrated by National Social Group Trust at Channi Himmat where the actor, Sanyam Pandoh was chief guest.
Many school students joined the function and presented cultural programmes.
Addressing the gathering Sanyam Pandoh appealed to the youths to come forward to make India a strong nation.

On day 1, a special assembly was conducted not only to celebrate but also to pay tribute to our constitution developers.
The second day celebrations began with unfurling of National Flag by Kanwaljeet Kour from management with Chairperson, Harpreet Singh Anand and Principal cum Vice-Chairperson, Rohini Aima. Culminating the celebrations, the Principal, Rohini Aima asserted that our Constitution has given us tremendous fundamental rights which we use with freedom but at the same time we need to recognize our fundamental duties as Indian and as global citizens to contribute substantially for the progress and development of our nation.
Police Training School, Kathua celebrated the 70th Republic Day where SSP (Principal of Training School), Arun Gupta unfurled the National Flag.
Dulhasti Power Station celebrated 70th Republic Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. General Manager (Incharge), Yoginder Kotha unfurled the Tricolour. After National Anthem, Kotha inspected the parade by CISF contingent.
Speaking on the occasion, Kotha remembered the martyrs of independence and paid tribute to them.
Principal Bharat Public High School, Mahakali Nagar Upper Gadi Garh, Amar Nath Sharma hoisted the National Flag to celebrate Republic Day. Addressing the gatherings, Sharma said that every Indian is duty bound to celebrate national festivals as the mark of love for the country.
Little Angel Public High School Muthi Maira celebrated the Republic Day and Sarpanch, Priya Sharma hoisted the National Flag.
