JAMMU, Apr 14: Different organizations here today celebrated the 132nd birth anniversary of Dr. B.R Ambedkar and paid him rich tributes.
Describing Dr. B.R Ambedkar as great reformer, senior BJP leader, Devender Singh Rana called for working towards strengthening the unity, harmony and brotherhood to steer India to become Vishwa Guru. Leading a 15 km rally from Domail Chowk to Kapotha in Nagrota constituency to pay homage to the architect of Constitution of India, Rana said the unity in diversity is India’s greatest strength.
He also addressed a largely attended gathering at All J&K Mahasha Sadar Sabha in Dogra Hall, Jammu organized to pay homage to Dr. B.R Ambedkar. Kali Dass Panotra, president All J&K Mahasha Sadar Sabha, Narsing Dass Rajwal and others were also present.
Former Minister and BJP J&K vice president, Surjeet Singh Slathia paid glowing tributes to Father of Indian Constitution, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Speaking at a function to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar, Slathia said that tireless works of Dr. Ambedkar for the welfare of downtrodden masses will always be remembered. Former Minister Chander Parkash Ganga and others also paid tributes to Dr. Ambedkar.
Ex-MLC and senior BJP leader, Vikram Randhawa paid tributes to Bharat Rattan Dr. B.R Ambekar on his 132nd birth anniversary at Babliana Panchayat. He called Dr. Ambedkar as a symbol of knowledge who worked untiringly even in adverse circumstances, as an educationist, legal expert, economist, politician and social reformer.
During a programme organized by Keshav Chopra, BJP Talab Tillo Mandal president, rich tributes were paid to Dr. B.R Ambedkar on his birth anniversary. Former BJP president, Sat Sharma; JMC Councillor Ward number 12, Jeet Angral and others were also present on the occasion.
In a function at Dehma (Majalta) in connection with Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations, Devender Kumar Manyal, general secretary J&K BJP stressed for emulating the philosophy and teachings of Dr. B.R Ambedkar.
Spokesperson of BJP and former MLA, Ranbir Singh Pathania threw light on various aspects of Dr. B.R Ambedkar’s philosophy and paid him floral tributes.
JKPCC working president, Raman Bhalla and district president Jammu, Yogesh Sawhney paid floral tributes to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 132nd birth anniversary at Panama Chowk. Speaking on the occasion Raman Bhalla said that it was due to Dr. Ambedkar that the country got such a Constitution, in whose preamble there is the mantra for strength of the country. Yogesh Sawhney said that Dr. Ambedkar was a great personality whose thoughts and ideas are relevant at all times.
District Congress Committee Udhampur under the leadership of its president and former MLA, K.C Bhagat celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti at Bhagat Singh Park, Udhampur. All senior Congress leaders and workers gathered and paid floral tributes to the Father of Constitution.
Paying glowing tributes to Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, NC Provincial president, Rattan Lal Gupta described Dr. Ambedkar as legendary leader who worked tirelessly against caste based discrimination across the country. Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial secretary Jammu said that best tribute to the great leader would be to imbibe the spirit of oneness which alone can lead the nation towards peace, progress and prosperity.
Speaking on the occasion, former minister and Zonal president Udhampur-Reasi, Abdul Gani Malik recalled the contributions of Baba Saheb in evolution of democracy and framing up of Indian Constitution.
NC Central Zone president, Babu Rampaul and others also paid tribute to Dr. Ambedkar.
BSP J&K celebrated the birth anniversary of Bharat Rattan Baba Saheb Dr. B.R Ambedkar at village Salahd. Raja Ram, Ex-MP and Coordinator J&K was chief guest. Speaking on the occasion he highlighted the struggle of Dr. B.R Ambedkar for the welfare of downtrodden masses in the country.
Apni Party celebrated the 132th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R Ambedkar across Jammu region especially at Vijaypur, Jammu and Akhnoor. The programs were organized at Vijaypur to remember the contribution of Dr. Ambedkar on his Jayanti. Apni Party Provincial president Jammu, S. Manjit Singh along with others garlanded the portrait of Dr. Ambedkar and talked about his services to the nation.

On birth anniversary of Dr. B.R Ambedkar, Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) led by P.K Ganju, working president paid rich tributes to him (Dr. Ambedkar) at a village in R.S Pura. Addressing the gathering Ganju exhorted all the youth to follow the footsteps of Dr. Ambedkar.

All J&K Shri Sadguru Kabir Sabha in collaboration with various other social organizations celebrated 132nd birth anniversary of Dr. B.R Ambedkar at Kabir Bhawan, Chak-Avtara, Bishnah.
All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations J&K celebrated 132nd Ambedkar Jayanti at Jammu. A bike rally was organized in this regard from Ambedkar Park, Resham Ghar Colony to Ambedkar Chowk, Jammu in which a large number of youth from National Students and Youth Front (NSYF) took part. The rally was flagged off from Resham Ghar Colony by Ramesh Chander, Additional DC Jammu.
A programme was organized to celebrate Ambedkar Jyanti at Vishwakarma Temple, Akhnoor Road, Mishriwala under the supervision of Purshotam Chargotra (president) and Mangal Dass Verma (chairman) in which a large number of people from all sections of society participated. Literature on Dr. Ambedkar was distributed to the passersby. Balwant Kataria, vice chairman Vishwakarma Library New Plot Jammu threw light on the life of Dr. Ambedkar.

On 132nd birth anniversary of the Father of the Indian Constitution, Dr. B.R Ambedkar, IIM Jammu celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti with patriotic fervor. Prof. B.S Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu; Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Academics and others offered floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar.
Government College of Education Jammu celebrated the birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar by organizing easy writing competition on the theme “Life and Teachings of Dr Ambedkar” under the patronage of Principal Prof Aekta Gupta.
Large number of students participated in the competition, the result of which will be declared on Monday. The event was conducted by NSS Unit of the College headed by Programme Officer Dr Shubhra Jamwal.
