JAMMU, June 27: Different organizations today staged anti-China protests across Jammu division.
Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM), an affiliate of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh staged a protest demonstration demanding boycott of Chinese products after 20 Indian army personnel were martyred during a clash with Chinese soldiers at Galwan valley in eastern Ladakh.
The protest was held under the leadership of SJM District president, Pankaj Kumar where J&K in-charge of Manch, Ashwani Kumar was also present. The protesters appealed to the public to boycott Chinese products and torched the effigy of Chinese president, Xi Jinping.
Meanwhile, activists of Bajrang Dal and Vishav Hindu Parishad in Poonch staged a protest demonstration against China and burnt the effigy of Chinese president. A large number of activists of Bajrang Dal led by its District president, Nishu Gupta and VHP members assembled at City Chowk and raised anti-China slogans.
They also burnt Chinese goods.
Apart from this a strong anti-China protest demonstration was held in Reasi, Katra, Arnas and Pouni areas on Saturday by activists of Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad etc.
The protestors gave a call to boycott Chinese products and to support the government.
“China is the most treacherous nation in the world and it cannot be dealt peacefully,” VHP leader Vinod Kumar said while addressing the protesters.
