Difficult gall bladder surgery conducted at Bee Enn General Hospital

JAMMU, May 7: A difficult laproscopic gall bladder surgery of Ankylosing Spondylitis patient was conducted successfully at Bee Enn General Hospital, Jammu.
The surgery was conducted by Dr Ajay Katoch who is Senior Laproscopic Surgeon at Bee Enn General Hospital along with Dr Sanjeev Narang, who is a prominent chest specialist in Jammu.
According to the Hospital, a 50 years old lady who is suffering from the disease called ‘Ankylosis Spondylitis’, a disorder in which the joints of Spine Bone fuses with each other, was going from one hospital to another to remove her Gall Bladder as she was also suffering from Gall Bladder Stones.
Her Cervical (Neck) Bones were fused because of Ankylosing Spondylitis and no Hospital in Jammu City was ready to operate since Endo Tracheal Tube couldn’t be inserted in her wind pipe due to zero neck movement. The patient was in a desperate situation as no hospital was offering facility for anaesthesia. Finally the patient approached Dr Ajay Katoch, who called upon Dr Sanjeev Narang, who is a prominent chest specialist in Jammu.
Dr Narang inserted the endo tracheal tube with the help of Bronchoscope (Endoscope of Lungs) and hence patient could be anesthetised and Gall Bladder was successfully removed laproscopicaly.
