RAJOURI, Apr 15: For restoring confidence in the general public and to carry out domination of Peeri area in Kotranka Sub Division of Rajouri district, a joint domination patrol was carried out under the command of Dy Inspector General of Police, Rajouri- Poonch Range Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal today.
He was accompanied by DySP Police Component Rajouri, Shivender Singh Jamwal and SHO Police Station Kandi, Raza Ali and Nafri of Police Station Kandi (Kotranka) and Police Post Peeri.
A security-cum-crime review meeting was also chaired by DIG Range at Police Post Peeri. The DIG briefed the Nafri of Police Post Peeri and passed on necessary instructions regarding upcoming and current Policing challenges. He also reviewed the functioning of Police Post Peeri and held stores-weapon inspection too.
The DIG exhorted upon the Nafri to generate valuable inputs regarding movement of anti-national elements in their area of responsibility, drug- peddlers active in the area and the bovine smugglers operating under various covers.
He emphasized that intelligence is the key to Policing challenges. Policemen particularly the local ones need to use all their contacts to develop a strong intelligence network. Passing such quality information immediately to concerned quarters will help in restoration of complete peace in the area.
Mughal also checked various welfare issues of the policemen at Peeri and advised them to maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the premises. He laid stressed on timely and quality delivery of public services.
