RAJOURI, Apr 24: Deputy Inspector General of Police Rajouri, Tajinder Singh and Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat, today visited the house of the martyr Mohd Raziq son of Mohd Akbar, who was working as a Junior Assistant in the Office of Program Officer ICDS Rajouri, who laid down his life in a barbaric terrorist attack at village Kunda Topa of Shahdra on the intervening night of April 22 and 23.
The DIG and DC Rajouri expressed sympathy and offered condolences to the members of grieved family. They were accompanied by senior officers of Police and Civil Administration.
Expressing solidarity with the grief stricken family of the martyr the officers assured all possible support from Administration. The DIG Rajouri assured the family that stern action into the matter will be taken.
The officers also took stock of the prevailing situation and issued instructions to the local security agencies to keep vigil in the area.
The other officers who accompanied them were: Jhangir Khan ACR Rajouri; Abid Shah SDM Thannamandi and Police officers from Thannamandi.
