KISHTWAR, Jan 16: DIG Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban range, Dr. Sunil Gupta today visited Kishtwar and conducted a high-level security meeting there.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier 9 Sec RR, Sameer K Palandey; CO CRPF 52 Bn, Parma Shivan; CO CISF, Anand Saxena; COs of Army11/17/26 RR; SDPOs, Dy. SPs of CID and IB and other officers of Police and CAPF.
On this occasion, SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal delivered a detailed presentation, encompassing the security scenario of the district.
Matters such as terrorist activities, operations Touch and Milan, bowel exercise, operation 3rd eye and implementation of AI-based facial recognition system were thoroughly discussed.
During meeting, the DIG emphasized on the need for heightened vigilance, especially in anticipation of upcoming events like Ram Mandir consecration ceremony and Republic Day.
Following security meeting, the DIG accompanied by SSP Kishtwar chaired a public grievance redressal programme at Police Station Kishtwar wherein Dr. Gupta listened to the issues raised by the public and assured prompt action, prioritizing resolutions with the concerned departments.
The DIG also visited Police Station Kishtwar where he inspected records related to OGWs, released and surrendered militants and those in hiding PoJK.
He provided necessary directions to SHO Kishtwar, Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday and his staff to ensure smooth functioning of the Police Station.
