RAMBAN, Apr 19: Doda-Kishtwar Ramban range Dr Sunil Gupta DIG DKR today fecilitated Neetan Gupta, a vegetable vendor by profession for installing CCTV camera at his shop at Chanderkot which helped Ramban police in nabbing a thief. CCTV camera installed by Neetan Gupta S/o Late Vijay Gupta R/o JP Gate Chanderkote at his shop under ‘operation third eye’, helped police station Chanderkot in solving a theft case registered under fir no. 41/2022 U/S 457/380 IPC, as the local police successfully nabbed the accused.
These measures of installing the CCTV cameras are being taken by the local shopkeepers on the request of district police Ramban. Off late, District Police Ramban had requested all the stakeholders to install CCTVs on their buildings and shops under ‘operation third eye’ so that continuous vigil can be maintained at every single inch. This has helped immensely in prevention of crime in the area.
DIG DKR Dr. Sunil Gupta ips while handing over an appreciation certificate to Neetan Gupta, said that in order to NIP the crime in the bud, society at large also has to come forward and assist police in its endeavours of making a crime free society. This dream can be realised only with the help of civil society.
He said most of people are law abiding and are always ready to help police in containing the crime and Neetan Gupta is a glaring example of that.
DIG DKR was accompanied by district SP Ramban Mohita Sharma, Additional SP Ramban Gourav Mahajan and other senior officers of district ramban on the occasion.
