KISHTWAR, Sept 16: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban (DKR) range Rafiq-Ul-Hassan held a crime review meeting of Police Sub-Division of Kishtwar, Chatroo, Marwah and Atholi.
SSP Kishtwar Rajinder Kumar Gupta, CPO DKR Range Ishtiyaq Bhatti, SO to DIG Showket Ali, Senior Prosecuting Officer Mansoor Ahmed Mattoo DySP Headquarters Ayaz Ahmed, DySP DAR DPL Manoj Kumar, DySP Operation Nissar Khoja, SHOs of Police Stations and other investigating officers were present in the meeting.
At the outset of the meeting DIG examined the performance of Police Stations. The main focus of the meeting was to improve the quality of investigation of accident cases, motor vehicle theft, burglary, NDPS Act and other cases. Besides, missing persons, inquest proceedings, arrest of absconders and action taken under preventive measures were also reviewed. The issue of public complaints pending with Police Sub-Division was also discussed.
In the meeting, DIG discussed all MV theft cases one by one. He advised SHOs for finalization of the pending cases/public complaints to give the relief to the general public. DIG personally checked the case files of heinous offences and took serious note of it and directed investigating officers for speedy disposal of cases assigned to them for conducting the investigation. He also advised the Police Stations staff to conduct foot patrolling in their respective jurisdictions.
He directed the investigating staff to conduct the investigation of cases with zeal, dedication and with transparency at an earliest possible time in the public interest and bring the pendency to the minimum.
